Preimplantation Genetic Testing(PGT), a procedure that screens embryos for genetic conditions before they are transferred to the uterus during IVF:
PGT helps reduce the chance of having a child with a genetic condition by allowing doctors to select embryos that are predicted to be free of genetic abnormalities.
PGT-A: Screens for aneuploidy, or problems with chromosomes, in all chromosomes.
PGT-M: Screens for monogenic conditions, which are conditions associated with specific genes. This test is available to people who are at an increased risk of having a child with a specific inherited genetic condition.
PGT-SR: A genetic test that analyzes embryos for chromosomal abnormalities
